Surkanda Devi temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peeth’s in the world. It is at an altitude of about 10,000 ft. above the sea level. Ponies and porters are available for hire for those who do not wish to walk. Despite the long hike, the journey to the temple could be extremely rewarding.
